Freedom Works is the front organization for the lobby shop run by Dick Armey and Steve Forbes that recruits a right-wing group of tax protesters, radical conservatives, racists, and neo-Nazis to lead a campaign harrass and intimidate members of Congress at August Town Hall events to engineer a campaign to kill health care reform. Many people are being tricked and manipulated into joining the protest because they think the events are a spontaneous revolt against government and taxes. Well-heeled lobby firms are circulating "yelling" points.
Deep pocketed insurance cartels are spending more than a million dollars a day to pay PR firms to bus these people around the country to disrupt meetings to "rattle" Members of Congress, stop intelligent questions to attract the media and confuse people. Members of Congress have called on police escorts in order to escape from perceived harm. Americans for Prosperity is another organization founded by Tim Phillips, a former partner of disgraced Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed, who was caught up in the Abramoff scandal to scam Indian tribes. Newt Gingrich who is the founder of a think tank American Solutions for Winning the Future (click here and here) is throwing his weight behind the "shock and awe" campaign to bring down Obama and kill health care reform.
