AZ Dem Lawmakers to Hold Health Care Kickoff Event on *Tuesday*

Arizonans to Call for Reform Now and Discuss President Obama's Health Care Reform Principles

Democratic Lawmakers, members of the community, and the Arizona Democratic Party will hold a kickoff event at the Arizona State Capitol on Tuesday to talk about the urgent need for health care reform in Arizona and across the country and to highlight President Obama's health care reform principles. The President is seeking reform which will reduce costs for family, businesses, and government. Furthermore, it will protect our choice of doctors and insurers, and assure affordable, quality health care for all Americans.

"19.6 percent of Arizonans are uninsured, fifth highest in the country, and countless others have inadequate coverage," said Luis Heredia, Executive Director of the Arizona Democratic Party.
"Families across Arizona are struggling to pay for skyrocketing health care costs. Our health care system is broken and the time to fix it is now. That's why Arizonans are coming together to call for reform and stand behind President Obama's health care reform efforts. We can't wait any longer."
