Field director for "Organizing for America," Sara ElAmine will speak tonight at the LD 26 District Meeting, Metro Water Board Rm. 6265 N. La Canada, Tucson
"Organizing for America" will help with communication between President Obama and local grassroots groups by creating a two way channel of communication between communities and grassroots activists and the White House.
Sara started on Obama’s presidential campaign as an Iowa Field Organizer in 2007. After the caucuses, El-Amine worked in five additional primary states: Idaho, Texas, Mississippi, Colorado, and the crucial Indiana primary.
During the general election she served as a Regional Field Director of twenty two counties in Northwest Virginia, where she led the efforts that culminated in the largest regional swing in the state, contributing to President Obama’s November victory.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Sara is a native of Duxbury, Massachusetts. She received a BA from Occidental College in Diplomacy and World Affairs and was the recipient of several grants and two Lily foundation fellowships on international development and domestic party-building. She comes to us most recently from Washington, DC.
