Financial crooks, your time is past!

Our laws make sure automobiles are safe, toys aren’t dangerous, and medications do what they’re supposed to. But when it comes to financial products -- home mortgages, credit cards and payday loans -- it’s the Wild, Wild West, and there’s no sheriff in town looking out for consumers.

It’s time to put some tough new rules on those selling financial products. We support a new Financial Product Safety Commission whose job is to make sure consumers aren’t sold toxic financial products,with rules that crack down on bad practices, and prevent new ones from emerging.
